Project Engineer

Salary: £40,000-50,000

Full-time hybrid with London office base

​

IONATE is a deep technology start-up, building the technology backbone for smart electricity grids. Our London team is looking for a Project Engineer to support our work on game-changing green technology and grow within our world-class team. 

​

Requiring solid engineering knowledge and project management skills, this position will work directly with our Engineering team. You will play a key role through all aspects of the technology development lifecycle, managing technical and engineering projects through to commercial products for customers.  

​

What you will do: 

·        Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring assigned technical and engineering tasks and projects. 

·        Collaborating and supporting across a range of engineering disciplines such as power electronics, embedded systems, control, mechanical and thermal and software.

·        Identifying potential issues, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented. 

·        Developing engineering best practices, processes and frameworks.

·        Supporting R&D activities and studies.

·        Documentation and reporting and meeting/workshop facilitation.

·        Maintaining and developing quality and safety standards and documentation.

·        Managing communications with customers, partners, and suppliers.

 

What you will need: 

·        A background in electrical or electronics engineering or similar. 

·        Project management experience and skills

·        Good working knowledge of mechanical and software engineering is a plus.

·        Ideally FAT, SAT and commissioning experience on and off site.

·        Site management experience is bonus.

·        Excellent communication and leadership skills.

·        Experience working with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, MS Projects, AutoCAD and SAP is a plus.

·        Willingness to travel national and internationally for projects.

·        Can do attitude and a drive to get real hands-on experience.
